ARTS & MUSIC

THE SITUATION

Both Music and Art are powerful and important tools that assist people of all ages in developing language skills as well as ones understanding and awareness of important issues facing our society or culture. Music and Art helps deliver hope to those living in war torn countries that are all too often affected by natural disasters, ongoing violence and political instability and unrest. Our volunteer programs lead to positive changes in the lives of those in need and offers alternative forms of expression, communication, and an outlet for those who are often restricted and limited. People in the communities receive a unique type of education and hope for the future, and they become part of a community where they can share what they’ve learned and discovered. Through the efforts of these programs, individuals who otherwise wouldn't have access to music education are learning, sharing, and teaching others about the power of music to heal and inspire and do what they can to help make our world a little brighter.

The volunteer programs we offer provide you with an opportunity to work with underprivileged youth through the use of circus skills, arts, as well as traditional and non-traditional education practices. By getting involved on one of these projects, you will be immersed in a movement to help children gain self confidence, discipline and teamwork skills through the structured study of different physical, visual and musical arts. Photography has now become an important component in many programs, as a way to answer certain biological questions, to better communicate what field teams are trying so hard to achieve, as well as to illustrate research, education, community development, and ultimately biodiversity conservation outcomes for the benefit of policy makers, donors, and followers.
